Wi-Fi is more than a technology; it is a necessity. Our customers expect ubiquitous Wi-Fi coverage throughout their home, business, property, and favorite hang-out spots. The demand for connectivity continues to expand beyond the router, computers, iPads, and phones, to now including your appliances, home security, and so much more. These devices are commonly referred to as IoT or Smart devices.
Wi-Fi has seen more than 20 years of continuous improvement. Now, the arrival of Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6E, and multigigabit Wi-Fi technology marks the next evolution providing improved Wi-Fi standards, including improved coverage and capacity that is necessary to meet the continuous demands of our customers.
Our team at Hotwire Communications continues to innovate and push the standards in the development and deployment of robust Wi-Fi networks leveraging our all-fiber infrastructure. We are designing Managed Wi-Fi solutions that utilize the latest technologies in Wi-Fi architecture, security, and support, participially in Multi-Dwelling Units, student and senior housing, and hospitality environments. This technological advancement enables us to deliver continuous (uninterrupted) Wi-Fi coverage throughout a property, campus, or business. With our simple onboarding process and white-glove treatment, we have set a precedent of unparalleled innovation, network reliability and outstanding customer service.
We have seen the emergence of expansive Wi-Fi requirements as several industry groups have led the charge over the last few years. These requirements have addressed capacity and throughput obstacles in most networks. This has helped to accelerate the technological evolution, especially with the influx of IoT devices that are currently on the market. We have also seen tremendous technological improvements in device capacity per access point, applications requiring higher throughput and lower latency performance, and improvements in network stability, monitoring, reporting, and troubleshooting that are a result of artificial intelligence and machine learning integration with Network Management System (NMS). Orthogonal FrequencyDivision Multiple Access (OFDMA) and Wi-Fi 6E technology are the next great advancements in the deployment of WiFi networks. The ability to have simultaneous transmissions to and from multiple devices will have a significant techno logical impact on Wi-Fi applications, networks, and deployments, helping to ensure more scalable, reliable, and secure networks.

The rapid advancement in Wi-Fi is not without its challenges. The IoT migration to the 5GHz or 6GHz bands, load-balancing across multiple links and/ or radios for better interference mitigation and throughput, and better reuse of airtime and channel selections are just some of the challenges we continue to address as the landscape and standards continue to evolve. As we continue to see a proliferation of IoT and smart devices coming to market, we need to continue to work with the manufacturers to help them understand the benefits of performance over cost, especially as it relates to devices utilizing the 5 and 6 GHz bands.
We are on the journey with Wi-Fi, and the journey is evolving. Each iteration brings great enhancements, more use cases, and enhanced applications. The networks become more robust and scalable as it adapts to the technological changes and challenges. Hotwire is evolving with the technology.
